Evening Arkhyz

Ivan Skorobogatov's mountain river in Arkhyz, in the Caucasus, rushes toward you between dark forested slopes, catching the last light of evening. Everything moves. The water is swirls of silver, pink and blue; the fir trees are dark green verticals; the boulders in front have violet shadows. The perspective rises, so the river seems to pour out of the canvas.
