Description
Old whitewashed stone houses with tiled roofs stand right above a river. There is a wooden jetty, small boats on still water, and a red-and-white rowing boat in front.
Tolstuhin paints with hundreds of small separate strokes that build a mosaic texture. Here the color is sun-bleached: cream walls, terracotta roofs, golden water with green reflections. He has been a member of the All-Ukrainian Union of Artists since 2008 and spends a lot of time painting outdoors, and you can feel the afternoon heat in this one.
