Hydrangea blooms

Description
Hydrangea seen so close that the four-petalled florets turn into a pattern. Cobalt, teal and turquoise, with lilac here and there, cover the whole square.
In this watercolor Symchych drops the idea of painting a whole flower head and simply lets the florets overlap. Where light catches the edges, she leaves pale glowing lines. It is one of her most contemporary pieces and looks great in a blue or white room.
