Description
A birch with drooping gold-green branches stands at the bend of a path and throws long violet shadows across it in late-autumn sun.
In oil, Skorobogatov paints the path in streaks of lilac, blue and pink that run toward you, and the leaves in flickering yellow and green. The blur in the brushwork gives a feeling of wind and passing time, which is exactly what those last warm days of the year feel like.
