Description
Pale green melon slices, golden pears and bunches of grapes on a light table, with splashes of turquoise and orange flying across the canvas. Yampolskaia flattens the space and stacks the fruit in rhythmic rows, then lets drips, spatters and scraped texture run over everything. The warm peach and ochre are woken up by the turquoise. A modern take on the harvest still life, in acrylic.
