Morning In The Forest

A quiet river winding through a forest at dawn, mist rising off the water, dark trees on the banks, the sun breaking through a hazy sky. The big oil canvas (70 × 100 cm) is full of the mystery and silence of early morning. Pryadko's subtle tonal transitions, from bright sky to dark foreground, give it real depth, in the manner of the great nineteenth-century landscape painters.
