Description
Three pink thistle-like flower heads on long, thin stems, set at different heights on a mostly empty sheet.
The tufted crowns are drawn stroke by stroke in rose and coral over scaly ochre bracts. The stems are a single fluid brown line each. The spacing of the three heads has an almost Japanese feel, and the white paper does a lot of the work. A light, graceful watercolor by Anastasia Mitikova.
