Fire bouquet

A tall bouquet blazing in red, orange, yellow and blue, in a dark vase, against a background that runs from crimson at the top to deep indigo at the bottom.

Chatinyan puts the flowers on in thick, jewel-like dabs and outlines some petals with fine light lines, and the background glows like embers. At 90 × 60 cm, oil on canvas, it is big and needs a wall of its own.
