Description
A jug of chamomile next to an old cast-iron iron, a wooden rolling board, a ball of twine, an inkwell, clothespins and an embroidered cloth, against a deep teal background. Serhiy Stupka's long oil canvas (35 × 60 cm) lays the objects out like a shelf in a village museum. Worn wood, metal and fabric in warm, earthy color, with the white daisies for light. A gentle tribute to the household things of past generations.
