Description
A young woman in a swimsuit sits on cushions by an open window, looking out over an Amsterdam canal where boats are moored and the lights glow red and orange.
Polyakov sets a softly painted figure against bold, almost abstract blocks of color, intimacy against the noise of the city. Warm red, pink and gold, and a cinematic mood. A large oil on canvas.
